The ‘Tour the Wheel’ was a promotion based on the McDonalds Monopoly concept, which runs once a year throughout the UK.
The creative needed to have stand out and illustrate to a customer what can be won immediately and preferably what to do without having to read all the copy.
Customers were required to collect numbered stickers (0-36) to apply onto a segmented roulette wheel on their collectors card Sheet (z-card) for their chance to win a high value prize (a segment must be completed in order to claim the prize). Alternatively, they could be issued an instant win prize sticker to win a smaller value prize in casino.
The concept needed to be explosive with the prizes and title and have movement in the design so I went for the 3D look and feel. Originally, they wanted square board like monopoly but I soon found that was not going to work so created a round version, which solved many issues.
